John Jowett

plays the trombone

John likes to be bugged about going to Juilliard and ending up in a reggae-ska band. He tried a few other things like conducting Hemispheres, the Toronto jazz slash new music orchestra, at Lincoln Center in New York and the Winsdor Symphony in a Canadian composers workshop. Then there were some compact arrangements of huge orchestra pieces for two trombones for the Bones Bros. with Tom Allen. And after that, some acoustic compositions for live performers and some electronic music for websites. Right now, besides boning for Random Order, John plays with the Singing Saw Symphony and teaches music to folks with mental health challenges.

he's busy playing right now
